The Role of The Community In Supporting The Revitalization of The Pentahelix-Based Transmigration Area

Abstract

The transpolitan area development program is a new innovation in establishing transmigration to support the development of the digital era. The development of transmigration areas is carried out in collaboration between stakeholders through the pentahelix system consisting of government, academia, industry/private sector, community/community, and media. The development of the area focuses on improving the quality of human resources using modern and sustainable technology.
This study aims to create a policy recommendation by answering several problem statements, namely: (1) what is the role of the community who have been involved in supporting the revitalization of the pentahelix-based transmigration area in the Mutiara Transmigration Area; (2) what are the opportunities and challenges of the community in their role in the revitalization of the pentahelix-based transmigration area in the Mutiara Transmigration Area; and (3) what are policy recommendations regarding the role of the community in supporting the revitalization of the pentahelix-based transmigration area
This study used qualitative methods. The data used in this study consisted of primary data and secondary data. Primary data was collected through field observations, interviews with questionnaires, and documentation. The informants targeted were transmigrants and non-transmigrants who lived in to surround, and among them were community leaders. The secondary data used is data from documents and literature.
Based on the results of observations and data analysis, the government must create continuous replication efforts in developing good practices in transmigration areas. The government must also identify problems in the field by involving experts. On the other hand, it is necessary to formulate planning and budgeting proposals in a concrete form in the form of policies. It is also necessary to establish a joint forum for multi-stakeholder meetings at the settlement/village unit level and capacity building. This is useful for increasing community skills and as a means of conveying aspirations to stakeholders.
