Abstract

Village is the basis of the government structure. Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages is the basis for strengthening the function of Village-Owned Enterprises (VOE) in order to develop the village's potential to provide the greatest possible welfare for the village community and also to become self-sufficient in the village economy. There are still many difficulties found in the development of village economic through Village-Owned Enterprises (VOE), such as the Village-Owned Enterprises (VOE) managers who considered lack in competence, the need of access to Village-Owned Enterprises (VOE) capital resources, and initiation of conducting the monitoring and evaluation.
In conclusion, the recommendations carried out by this policy brief are increasing the competence of the Village-Owned Enterprises (VOE) managers, considering the allocation of village funds for the Village-Owned Enterprises (VOE) as the capital resources, and conducting monitoring and evaluation for the Village-Owned Enterprises (VOE) regularly.
