The relocation of the national capital to East Kalimantan (Nusantara Capital City/IKN) raises issues related to the sustainability of the villages surrounding IKN. These villages have developed and independent status, indicated by the positive relationship between the Village Fund and the Village Development Index (IDM). Holding the potential for economic growth, the policy of changing the status of villages to kelurahan needs to pay attention to village autonomy, asset utilization, and self-reliant development. System dynamic analysis highlights legal, social, economic, and cultural forces as important factors in the implementation of this policy. Village status change needs to consider village sustainability, community participation, and integration of local wisdom. The implementation of this policy requires effective coordination between the central government, local government, and local communities.
