Abstract

The economy is the focus of development and it is the main driver of development itself (Raharti et.al., 2021). Sustainable economic development becomes increasingly important amidst the challenges and the needs on improving community welfare. One strategy to achieve this goal is to develop and utilize Village-Owned Enterprises (VOE).
This policy brief discusses the strategies to promote sustainable economic development in Indonesia through VOE's featured products export escalation to increase the competitiveness the local products. The proposed strategies include strengthening the capacity of VOE in producing featured products with export potential, providing facilitation and assistance to support VOE's access to international markets, building partnership with other stakeholders and among VOE.
